Here’s an update from Belize on the sewing project! Things are moving ahead:
Meetings have been held with women and community leaders in 3 communities. San Benito Poite has recieved 3 machines from TMWC and materials assistance from ROW (sewing fabric, chairs, thread and training). San Vicente will be receiving machines, fabric and training. Jalacte will receive sewing machines, fabric and training. TMWC is providing transportation, mentoring and technical support
The Board of Directors has agreed to target single mothers in communities as the first group of trainers in round 1. On another note we will be delivering the machines to Jalacte and San Vicente by the end of February and immediately move on to 2 other communities.
