Want to Help? Want to Go? Latest Trips: ROW works in two different areas of Brazil – along the Amazon River, out of Manaus, as well as in the Fortaleza area, in north eastern Brazil. On the Amazon River: ROW works in partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Brazil in Manaus. We use the Amazon River to reach remote villages by boat to provide evangelism, Vacation Bible School, medical/dental clinics (right on the boat), and church and latrine construction. We also are involved in malaria research, and work closely with schools along the Amazon and Rio Negro. There are 120,000 people in the area who need basic health and dental care, education, and spiritual encouragement. Hundreds of volunteers serve annually in Brazil. Airfare plus $300 covers the costs for the week. To build a village church is $6000; to build a latrine is $900; to paint a church is $800; a new ship is $200,000.
