ROW is busy taking light to a dark world!

One of the most amazing projects ROW has ever been involved with is the Solar Lights Project. ROW is purchasing thousands of solar powered lightbulbs and delivering them to families who live in the deepest, darkest jungles around the world. This project has environmental benefits as well as educational, physical and Spiritual benefits. It gets very dark in jungle locations as early as 6:30pm in the evening. To have light, residents must burn wood or kerosene and this can amount to a significant number of trees being cut down for fuel and respiratory problems for adults and children who constantly breathe the smoke.

Solar light bulbs can change this way of life and make it much better. The solar lights can be set into the sunlight during the day and they provide up to 6 hours of light at night. One bulb can put out enough light to read or do chores. Batteries for the lights are inexpensive, last for up to 2 years and can be replaced easily. These bulbs are weather-proof and can last up to 10 years!
