ROW works in two different areas of Ecuador – Guayaquil, in the western part of the country, and several Qushau Indian villages, along the Napo River.

In Guayaquil, the brutal poverty is staggering. ROW teams have worked on a housing project for Sister Ann and her hospital for Hansen’s disease (leprosy) patients. Patients cured of this terrible disease normally have no place to live. But now, a building project consisting of four apartments is completed. Sister Ann has dedicated her life to the patients at the hospital.

This summer, a ROW team will be going to Guayaquil to continue working for Sister Ann. They will build a 2-room house for one of the male patients, and will be painting and installing windows in the Men and Women’s wing of the hospital.

ROW teams delivered school supplies and Bibles to four Qushau Indian villages, three of which were located deep into the jungle. And this summer, ROW is planning to head down the Napo River again to cover this river system with Bibles, evangelism, school supplies, and medical needs.
