Yes everyone is still alive!!! Praise God!!!! I am still extremely tired but getting back to normal (whatever that is). Everyone is back into their normal lives again and off to camps and family activities but I have seen every member at least once since our return. It’s hard to go on a trip and get back into the everyday again. I had a fantastic time in Belize and can’t wait to go back. Not sure if I will be going with the team in March but if God lays it on my heart to go I will be there. Not sure what help I would be at a construction site other than comic relief!!Â
I was so overwhelmingly blessed while in Belize. I want to thank you and ROW for giving us this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ. I wasn’t ever really surprised by anything while in Belize. That is to say anything I encountered of the country but I was surprised how quickly God endeared the people of Belize to me. I was not able to remember every name of the children at the village but their faces are burned into my mind and I see them often. Those precious smiles and wide eyes always very attentive to everything we said and did. I think my favorite part of the day was coming over that bridge and topping the hill to the village and seeing the children standing around the church or running down the hill to come to VBS, I miss that very much. I know God has plans for a future trip to Belize I’m just waiting for direction.Â
I think one of the other villages around PG is where a future VBS will be maybe Laguna? Or the village where Ethan is from? We were talking with Darren about maybe doing a Rodeo type mission with some roping and riding in Ethan’s village (he told Darren he has horses). You know Darren and Miles are champion team ropers. We could have a roping exhibition and give some lessons and have some singing and preaching revival type or block party type mission and tie some crafts in for the younger kids and some cookies and koolaid and a time to share the gospel. Maybe go to more than one village in a week one day each village. I don’t know just some ideas that have come to mind. Â
