I just heard an advert kind of thing from you guys on the radio(Klove). The gentleman was talking about blowing up his motor in his 1979 Land Cruiser and blowing up the motor in his boat. Imagine this both at the same time ” he lives on a lake”. I wonder if he realizes how frustrating that is to hear for many people. There are so many listening to Klove and other Christian stations that are right on the edge of survival both financially and spiritually. They need to hear things that are up lifting.I myself cannot imagine someone’s pain at not having their toys for a few days. I myself like so many others am not employed and just making it week to week. The Lord blesses me daily with the ability to get out of bed and look for work and eat what I can eat and make some money at whatever I can find and to praise Him for that. Just the fact that he cares for me in such a loving way is mind blowing. But as for the boats and off road vehicles………. I don’t know much about them. I see rich folks in them every day. You see I live on a lake as well. 5 lots back from the Big houses. I am glad the brother is blessed with such abundance I truly am but he may want to rethink his radio strategy.Something like that may make someone stumble.
Then again what do I know?
Yours in Christ,
Peter Hagberg

Dear Peter,
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my radio spot about letting the Lord lead you when things go bad or good. I founded ROW in 1995. I had a home, a family and no job, but I had a call and believed the Lord would bless us if we lifted praise to Him and focused on serving Him. We were met with a series of challenges: war in Congo, staff taken hostage by the Army of Congo. 9/11 happened and added to the mess. Recessions piled on more, and we even had a Trustee who said we needed to “back up and take it easy”.
General George Patton said, “Forward, forward, always forward!” and we chose to focus on that instead of backing up!
Our country is now a mess - the current administration is a disaster as far as I am concerned. From a lack of courage to an absence of experience to wastefully throwing money at worthless bail outs to trying to appease a group who publicly declares that we are at war - the list goes on and on and on - no wonder some folks want to whine and die!
It is my belief that it is the Christ within us, and not the economy around us that determines our lives and futures. I find great optimism by facing doubt, worry, and frustrations by saying right out loud “Thank You Jesus” until my praises are louder than my worries! I’ve built the 23rd Psalm into my life and recite it at every junction of the day and in it I find great strength.
My response to anyone concerned more about what they have or do not have than they are about praising the Lord?
My deepest conviction is that “when the praises go UP - then the blessings come DOWN!”
Thank You Jesus!

Hello-
Heard Ben on Klove a little while ago talking about coming to Memphis to visit his earthly father and that he was preaching in Jackson also. I realize that this is more if a personal trip, but would love to go hear him if possible. I live in Memphis. Where and when is he preaching in Jackson? Thanks So Much!
