For the past decade, Rivers Of The World has led over 500 volunteers around the world every year. Whether the volunteer was part of a church, civic organization, or school group, or just looking for an adventure and a chance to meet new people. Every volunteer came back changed and armed with a broader perspective of the world. In an effort to tailor an experience to assist youth and young adults in character development, ROW created LEAP. LEAP stands for Leadership, Exploration & Adventure Program and when you participate in LEAP, that's exactly what you do: Take a LEAP forward to a new appreciation of the world around you and the skills to make a difference in that world. As a Rivers Of The World program, LEAP is designed to arm participants with the life and leadership skills necessary to succeed in today's international community. From learning the basic skills needed to become a better leader in America, to working with local people in a foreign country, LEAP participants are exposed to a wide range of skills. Participants will live and learn around the shores of Honey Camp Lagoon at ROW's base camp in Belize. Learning about the local culture and exploring the nearby town of Orange Walk are just the beginning of the opportunities available to LEAP participants. Climb to the top of Mayan temple, hike down a jungle path, navigate a remote river and at the same time, build strong friendships that will last forever. You can download and read the LEAP brochure in a .PDF format here. This is a large file and make take a few moments to load. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the travel documents. If you do not have Acrobat, you can download it by clicking on the 'Get Adobe Reader' button:
