Living Water

Published by kclack under Dominican Republic, Serving

Yesterday I witnessed something that had such a profound affect upon me that I simply cannot forget about it. I was in the Dominican Republic and I watched this poor soul take a nasty metal can and scrape it through the gutter of the street in an attempt to gather filthy water just so he could have something to drink. He then took the can and gathered more dirty water and poured it over his head so he could take a bath.

Have You Heard?

Published by kclack under Dominican Republic, Witness

The birds are singing, the fragrance of the flowers blooming fills the air and it is a wonderful time to be outdoors. I just love springtime! It is a great time to take walks and that is exactly what I did last week while in the Dominican Republic. The cities are beautiful, the countryside is gorgeous and green and there are precious people all around who would love to hear about Jesus.

Preparing the Way

Published by kclack under Nicaragua, Witness

Rivers of the World (ROW) has recently taken some steps to ensure the gospel of Jesus Christ goes forth in Nicaragua, even to visitors from Iran. There is no way to describe how surprised the people of Monkey Point, Nicaragua were when Revolutionary Guard troops from Iran stepped off helicopters and into their village in November 2007.

Simple Plan, Daily Walk

Published by kclack under Faith, Scripture

Many of you know the name of Rivers of the World’s (ROW) administrator because actually, it is not really a name at all. She goes by 3. She signs her name 3, her business cards have 3 on it and even her stationary has her name, the number 3 on it. If you ever get the chance to meet her, take a close look at her clothing because somewhere you will find her name, 3, monogrammed.

Art of Contentment

Published by kclack under Family

Do you realize that you can be at home anywhere in the world? As I prepare for a trip to Prague to visit my wife, Dr. Mickie Mathes, I recall a car commercial that I once saw on television. The black and white commercial featured a man dressed in a trench coat. He walks across that famous bridge in Prague and he is talking about an automobile, but viewers never actually see the automobile.

Rescue the Weak

Published by kclack under Africa, Giving, Kenya

Chickens, pigs and goats, pots, pans and plants. Let’s say that again…chickens, pigs and goats, pots, pans and plants. Unbelievably, these are the things that Rivers of the World (ROW) has been asked for by the people of the Mathari Valley who have lost so much in the recent fighting in Kenya.

Unchanging Lord

Published by kclack under Friends

If you make your living by traveling often then you can count on a few things that are always constant. You can be certain there will be traffic, road construction and there will always be somebody who decides they are going to have a wreck the day you’re trying to get somewhere important. The other thing you can count on during your travels is seeing friends.
