Forge Ahead

Published by kclack under Africa, Scripture

I have a dear friend, Loraine, who lives in a special part of Africa. She lives in a country that has been destroyed by the leadership of a corrupt and greedy dictator. It is just absurd the atrocities people in that country deal with. Under that kind of pressure people can make one of two choices. They can decide to give up or forge ahead.

Wisdom Is Priceless

Published by kclack under Giving

Some of my friends in Oregon have an interesting saying. When they’re upset about something they say, “It snaps my twig.” Well, I can tell you that I have had my twig snapped! I just got a letter from one of my credit card companies informing me that due to the difficult economic times, they are going to raise my interest rates.

I am amazed. He did it. I mean he really did it and it has changed his whole life. My best friend, Chris, traveled to Central America on a mission trip and he fell in love. Ask, Seek and Knock

Published by kclack under Prayer

I am sure that you have had this situation occur before and as you know, it is quite awkward at best. I was in a store along with everybody else who was returning items that just didn’t fit or looked silly. All of a sudden, I heard this grunt behind me. I looked up and again I heard the grunt. I thought, “What in the world is that?” I turned to face the noise and said, “Can I help you?” The man said, “Yes, I am trying to get past you.”

Who Is Your Master?

Published by kclack under Faith, Scripture

We are already nearly two weeks into 2010 and it is time to decide something very basic. This year I want you to decide something that was first penned by Bob Dylan after he became a born-again Christian in the late 1970’s. In the song, “Gotta Serve Somebody,” Dylan wrote, “Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord, but you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”

Knit Together

Published by kclack under Children, Family

My newest friend, Thomas Price Fogarty, is going to have an amazing life! Thomas Price was just born and what a wonderful way to begin the new year! I just did something that I love doing and I hope you will take this idea and use it yourself. Whenever a baby is born into your family, take the time to write that baby his or her first letter.
