Published by kclack under Honduras, Serving, Witness

Now don’t anyone tell my wife, Mickie, because I have her convinced that I cannot use a hammer and nails, a saw or a drill. I have been banned from repair duties in our home. My father always taught me that duct tape and bubble gum could fix about anything!

According to Marine Capt. Luke McConnell, they sure didn’t last long! My wife, Mickie, organized a group of 100 women in our county in Georgia and they baked chocolate cakes for the troops serving overseas.

Honoring God

Published by kclack under Giving, Honduras

Do you know what imminent domain means? Apparently, this means the government has the authority to take your property so they can put in a business that generates more taxes than your home or your property. That just does not make any sense to me.

Lighten Your Load

Published by kclack under Scripture

My neighbors often asked the same question, “Who is that strange man?” If you ever drive through my neighborhood in Dawsonville, Ga., a small town northeast of Atlanta, you might catch a glimpse of me hiking. The first thing that you might notice is the large backpack I carry. What would really get your attention is the great, big knife I toss in the air while I am hiking!

Praying to El-Shaddai

Published by kclack under Congo, Prayer

When you come before the throne of grace and present your petitions to God, what do your prayers sound like? Sometimes as I pray aloud to God, my prayers sound like I am whining, complaining or even begging. I forget about the most important aspects of prayer—the adoration and the praise. Most of all, I sometimes fail to remember the power of prayer.

Dedicating Our All To Him

Published by kclack under Congo, Serving, Witness

Have you ever seen a ship christened? This is when a ceremony is held complete with a bottle of champagne that is whacked across the side of a ship. Earlier this year, my wife, Mickie, christened our newest ship based in the Congo.
