Published by kclack under Africa, Love, Serving

Ah, it is summertime, my favorite time to put on shorts, flip flops and head to the beach. Wearing flip flops recently took on a different meaning for me. Allow me to explain.

Never Out of His Sight

Published by kclack under Hope, Jungles, Prayer, Rivers

I am at home on rivers and in jungles where it is hot and steamy. I am not crazy about mountains and cold weather, and yet, I found myself in the back of a pickup truck headed into the mountains where it was cold. I could not get out of the truck as it continued its climb up, up and up into the mountains.

Unto the Least of These

Published by kclack under Love, Serving

Many of us are blessed to have certain “heroes” in our lives. I am certainly blessed to have some wonderful heroes in my life, such as Dr. David Seel. Dr. Seel retired in 1990 after having worked at the Presbyterian Medical Center (Jesus Hospital) in Chonju, Korea, as well as at the Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine, better known as the Wonju Christian Hospital, located in the Province of Kangwon.

Published by kclack under Faith

I finally met her. After all these years, I finally met Cinderella. The name of that village we were in escapes me, but I will never forget one little girl. She was probably six-years-old and she wore the white rags of a little dress. She was barefooted and she came hobbling down a very rocky trail.

Share Christ With Everyone

Published by kclack under Witness

Dick Blakemore of Noblesville, Ind., God bless you! Dick, who looks a lot like Santa Claus on a bad day, reminded us of the necessity of sharing the Gospel with everyone. We were on the beach in Central America handing out Gospel tracts to all the Hispanic folks. As the people walked by, we handed them the tracts saying, “Here’s the Word of God” in their native language.

Be Clothed in Kindness

Published by kclack under Love, Witness

Many of us have seen the nightly news recently, or read the headlines in the newspaper about the marches taking place nationwide protesting against proposed changes in immigration. Tensions have flared as some folks have loudly stated their opinions about people who have come to the United States from other countries, either legally or illegally.

Rejoice in the Lord

Living in the South, meals are not just a time to eat, but also a time to fellowship with friends and family. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it is not.

Little Is Much in Him

Published by kclack under Blessings, Honduras

It is the little things that mean so much, isn’t it? I am convinced that it is not the extravagant, grand efforts we make that are so compelling nor have the greatest impact. Instead, it is a kind touch, it is a pat on the back, a gentle word of encouragement, a “God bless you,” and a simple prayer said for a friend in need.

Putting Things in Perspective

Published by kclack under Giving, Honduras

I just filled up my car with gas and boy did it take my breath away! If you are thinking about inviting me to your church, give me plenty of notice because I might just have to walk!
