Free Indeed
I simply do not do guilt very well. In Christ, we are set free and no longer do we have to beat ourselves up with guilt. God’s word tells us in John 8:36:
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Many of you know by now that our administrator at Rivers of the World (ROW) is a woman by the name of 3. She and her family love football. They will spend all weekend sitting on the sofa, eating who knows what, and watching football games. I think that is great. It is not my thing, but it sure is hers!

This may be my last recording because my tongue is on fire! While in Belize, I stopped by Victors for a little rice, beans and chicken. It was wonderful—especially with hot sauce poured on top. The combination of habanero peppers, little red peppers, green peppers, chili pepper, onions, garlic, oil and other ingredients was too much to resist.

Bolivia is sandwiched between Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru in South America. La Paz is the administrative capital of Bolivia.

Do you remember that classic Christian song, “They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love?” In the village of Billy White, located in the western Cayo district of Belize, they know we are Christians because of our love for them.

This week I will be broadcasting by the miracle of wireless satellite technology. I am in the jungles of Southern Belize, 60 miles up the Temash River. We call our young staff “the boys in the band.” They have been working on something that has been a real blessing.

I just love to be reminded that we can serve as missionaries right here in America. I just had an opportunity to be a missionary at a church in the great state of Texas. In Georgia where I live, people are kind, humble and quiet. In Texas, I discovered everything is big, bold and people get excited.

I want to take this opportunity today to send a big hallelujah to Pastor Joel Long of Eden, North Carolina. Joel and I attended seminary together, unbelievably, 30 years ago. The Lord has certainly blessed Joel’s ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Eden.
