Published by kclack under Family, Love

However, what do you do when that person is making decisions that are destructive and dreadful? I am watching a friend of mine go through this situation. The only thing I can say is that you must allow people to make their own decisions.

Condition For Forgiveness

Published by kclack under Scripture, South America

You know, sometimes people who seem to be the nicest, in reality are not. While in Argentina, I was using my video camera to shoot some footage down a street when a bus drove by and splashed me. This delightful couple suddenly appeared and came to help me. I had stuff all over the back of my jacket and they were so kind to take napkins and water and try to wash the stuff off.

United in Sorrow and Joy

Published by kclack under Friends, Love

I just had one of those days that in one way was very difficult but it was a situation where I simply had to do what needed to be done. A friend of mine recently learned that his wife has a terminal illness. He discovered this and called me. I said to him, “Let me just be with you. I will just sit with you and we will talk, we will cry and we will pray. I am sure we will also pace back and forth wherever we are and we will feel that sense of frustration knowing that we have no control over our lives.” I also told him that we could at least celebrate the fact that everything is securely in God’s control.

Connecting With the Warao Indians

Published by kclack under Rivers, Venezuela, Witness

If I have said it once, then I have said it twice! Technology, in all its various forms, is a wonderful way to share God’s word, especially when it is undergirded with prayer. Desire to Know Him

Okay kids, do you have everything? Let’s see, backpack, pencils, paper, clean shoes and clothes and hair that looks, well, pretty good! It’s the first day of school! I used to love this when my two boys were little. They would get so excited about the first day of school and being able to make new friends, meet new teachers and explore new opportunities to learn.

Getting Our Attention

Published by kclack under Scripture, South America

Have you experienced those times in your life when it seems like God is trying to chase you down in order to get your attention? When I was in Argentina recently, I watched a demonstration of a weapon called a bola, which is Spanish for ball. I had forgotten how this weapon is used.
