A Dwelling Place
It is that time of the year again for me to hit the road. I would enjoy coming to visit you and having the opportunity to preach to your congregation. Perhaps I could share with a Sunday school class, be part of a Wednesday night supper or just meet with your mission’s committee.
I would just enjoy meeting the folks who make up your community of believers, whether that is a church or a family gathering. Let us get together and talk about ways that we can serve the Lord around the world using rivers as a way to reach people in very remote locations.
A church is not defined by a beautiful brick building, comfortable pews or numerous classrooms. Christ should be the chief cornerstone of a body of believers, whether it is a storefront church, an ornate stone church or a simple steel church building. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:21-22:
“In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”
Let us never forget that no matter what type of church building we worship in, Christ must be allowed to take His holy, rightful placeāin the hearts of His people. Wherever you attend church, whether in a building or a home, I hope you will invite me to worship with you and share how the Lord is using Rivers of the World (ROW) to reach a lost and dying world for Christ.
