Everything Is Connected

The vast world in which we live in is actually quite small when you think about it. How could the tsunami in Asia, the earthquake in Pakistan and Hurricane Katrina affect Rivers of the World (ROW) in Africa?

Unbelievably those three tragedies consumed most of the diesel engines that were available around the world. It took us over six months to locate a diesel engine for our ship in the Congo. We were finally able to find a used diesel engine in France, I believe. The engine was shipped to the Congo and placed in our ship. It really is such a small world and although we may not realize it, everything is connected.

I want you to remember that what you say, what you do and what you pray for in the name of the Lord can make an impact around this small world. Be encouraged today by Paul’s inspired words in Colossians 1:16-17, which says:

“For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

There is no prayer too small that God cannot hear. There is no need too great that Almighty God cannot meet. He knew the need we had for one diesel engine in the Congo and He met that need. Since God created all things, is in control of everything and is present everywhere, do you not then believe that He can handle whatever problem, care or concern you have today? Believe today that He will meet that need and begin praising Him for it now.
