Hedge Of Prayer
After a speaking engagement in Destin, Fla. recently, a woman approached me and asked a question no one has ever asked me. She said, “Who are your prayer intercessors?” I really did not know how to answer her. She persisted by saying, “What church?”
I told the woman I thought people prayed for us every time we cross a river. “I think we’re surrounded by prayer, but I cannot name who is praying for us,” I told the woman. She said, “You don’t need to be able to name them, but you do need to know that if you were not surrounded by prayer Rivers of the World could not do its ministry. It is too dangerous and you are in extremely remote locations. You need to be surrounded by a band of angels wherever you go.”
She is right, so today, can I selfishly ask you to please pray for all those associated with Rivers of the World? If not for our ministry, then find a ministry, a missionary or Christian organization that you can take before the Lord daily. Become a prayer warrior for those who are on the front lines battling in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer is the most effective and powerful thing we can do for one another. Let us follow the command in Ephesians 6:18, which says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
