Useful For Living
Have you discovered that business negotiations can be rather tricky? My friends at Monkey Point, Nicaragua are doing something unique in handling a complicated situation.
Representatives from Iran have recently landed at Monkey Point with the intention of installing a canal that would stretch all the way across Nicaragua. Since the proposed canal would begin at Monkey Point, the citizens have begun to prepare for business negotiations. They have equipped themselves with solar powered digital Bibles with Scripture that has been translated into Farsi, the language of the people of Iran.
The citizens intend on meeting with the Iranian leaders and telling them, “Before we discuss jobs, land ownership and faith, we would like for you to listen to the Word of God. We can then get back together and visit.” That is a wonderful approach to business dealings. Can you imagine reading Scripture before a company business meeting? How about reading God’s word and praying before conducting business with your partner?
Hearing the Word of God preached during Sunday morning services is not sufficient to sustain a person in their walk as a Christian. We read in 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
We must understand that Scripture is intended to be our daily nourishment for every aspect of our lives. If you desire a healing touch, wisdom, victory over sin, direction, comfort, friendship or to know Jesus more, then delve into Scripture.
