Serving the Yagua Indians

Let me tell you a little bit about my dad, who is affectionately called, “paw, paw.” My dad, Dr. Gordon Mathis, has reached that age where he can wear plaids and stripes and get away with it. It doesn’t matter if his clothes match or not, just as long as he likes it, then he can wear it.

Equal in His Eyes

Whether we wear blue jeans, have brown eyes, live in a hut or speak a language other than English, mankind was all created in God’s image. While traveling in Peru, I had the privilege to visit with a chief of the Yaqua Indian tribe. He announced his presence to our camp with an entourage of drummers and flute players.
