Cheer Up!

Published by kclack under Blessings, Friends

It is a great day to be thankful here at Rivers of the World (ROW). Do you know that there are times that we get 150 e-mails a day from our radio listeners? This just makes my day and I simply glow inside! I have actually coined a new phrase, “You make my heart smile.”

God’s Family

Published by kclack under Blessings, Family, Friends

One thing I enjoy about Christian radio is how all of our listeners become members of the Rivers of the World (ROW) family. Your emails, letters, phone calls and visits mean so much to me.

All Creation Sings

Published by kclack under Blessings, Giving

Most people when they grow old become set in their ways. I hope that I never grow too old to hunt for Easter eggs. I love poking through the grass and finding treasures like that.

Thank You

Published by kclack under Blessings

Oh, my, this could be the “big one!” I live in Dixie, more specifically Georgia, and it just started to snow. When it snows even just a little bit in the South people make a mad dash to the hardware store and buy everything they ever dreamed of buying. People also rush to the grocery store to stock up on staple items, as I did. I just bought 18 loaves of bread, three gallons of milk, four gallons of water and enough toilet paper to wrap the whole neighborhood. I am now prepared and just waiting for the snow to pile up in case this is the “big one.”

Communicating With God

Published by kclack under Blessings, Prayer, Vietnam

Some of the languages of this world are “beautifully” challenging, to say the least. In my travels around the world, I have picked up phrases from a variety of languages. Even though my Vietnamese is dreadful, I believe I can remember Chuc Mung Nam Moi, Happy New Year.

Give

Published by kclack under Blessings, Giving, ROW Radio

Most folks are not crazy about having to pay their bills and I am no different. What I do enjoy is writing checks and playing on PayPal as a means of blessing others. It is that time of the year when I sit down, take a checkbook and review all the ministries that I love and pray for and I send them a gift.

Preparing For a Harvest

Published by kclack under Blessings

Okay, bear with me while I envision a scene from heaven. The Lord wanted to see how we were doing here on earth so He sent an angel down to conduct a little survey. When the survey was completed, the angel returned to heaven, reported to God and said, “You know things are not so hot. We’ve got about 95 percent of the population who are misbehaving and only 5 percent who are hanging in there with us.”

Little Is Much in Him

Published by kclack under Blessings, Honduras

It is the little things that mean so much, isn’t it? I am convinced that it is not the extravagant, grand efforts we make that are so compelling nor have the greatest impact. Instead, it is a kind touch, it is a pat on the back, a gentle word of encouragement, a “God bless you,” and a simple prayer said for a friend in need.

Meeting the Need

Published by kclack under Blessings, Serving

I just love how well our radio listeners respond to our requests for various needs. When we mentioned we needed Bibles, many folks collected Bibles. The only problem was people wanted to collect English Bibles. We serve in so many parts of the world that what we really need is Bibles in other languages. By the time we could ship the Bibles collected overseas it would cheaper to purchase Bibles in the native countries that we serve.
