There are just people in this life that we deal with who come across as being pushy, aren’t there? I do believe that I have just been with one of the pushiest people I have ever met. Instantly I was tempted to get all my hackles up and to take offense but then fortunately I stopped a second and thought, “Why don’t you just listen to what he’s got to say, instead.”

I know that I am not the only person to have experienced times when God intervenes so specifically in our lives that all we can do is laugh, praise the Lord and simply say, “Thank you, God.”

As many of you know Iran landed military troops in Nicaragua and I believe they did so in order to learn about life in this part of the world. Surely they came to better understand Christianity! In February Rivers of the World (ROW) began several projects in Monkey Point, Nicaragua because that is also where the Iranian Revolutionary Guard landed troops in November 2007.

I have learned through the years that one of the great aspects of being a Christian is the fellowship we experience when we participate together in sports. Did you know that baseball is a huge sport in Nicaragua? Did you also know that Rivers of the World (ROW) has two baseball teams in that Central American country? We have the men’s and the women’s Monkey Point Stars.

It was Sunday morning in Bluefields, Nicaragua, when I took a walk that changed my life. I was crossing a bridge over a small stream that runs through the beautiful town of Bluefields when I heard the congregation of a church about 200 yards away that had gathered to worship. The worship service included drums, guitars, organs, tambourines, a piano and voices that just lifted the Word to heaven. My senses just came alive and it was so exciting!

I have just walked in the door from Nicaragua where Rivers of the World (ROW) launched its newest boat named Miss Megan. Miss Megan will be used by the villagers of Monkey Point to deliver crops to market. This is a microeconomic project that will help these people to grow closer to each other and also assist them in making a little money with this endeavor.

In case you haven’t heard, Iranian Revolutionary Guard soldiers landed in Monkey Point and want to build a deep water port and place a canal across Nicaragua. They also want to open an embassy in Managua.

You might not believe this but I am now up to 127 bug bites! I got each one of those bites while I was in Monkey Point, Nicaragua recently. I am just scratching myself like crazy, but, I am used to it!
