Have you ever spent a leisurely afternoon watching nature programs featuring the migration of animals? You witness Barren Ground Caribou numbering in the tens of thousands traveling hundreds of miles between their summer and wintering grounds. In another segment you watch the massive wildebeest of the Serengeti-Mara area of East Africa during their migration. Most of us have also watched shows featuring salmon enduring their long journey from their oceanic feeding grounds to their freshwater spawning grounds. These migrations are remarkable and quite impressive.

People often ask me how I manage to travel to so many countries and cities every year and keep my wits about myself. On average, I visit about 200 cities a year and I am in a different country every month. How do I manage all this traveling, you might ask. My secret is wherever I am I consider myself to be home. Whenever I get off a plane and whenever I get out of a car the first thing I say is, “I’m home!” and then I don’t feel like I need to be somewhere else.
