The annual Rivers of the World (ROW) board meeting was held recently and it was a lot of fun. Yeah, right! All kidding aside, it really was fun. All the ROW staff, board and others gathered for a dinner, we prayed and then we began discussing everything from finances to new ideas and exciting ways to continue serving the Lord around the world.

I witnessed the amazing power of the Gospel while in Venezuela recently. There were two different people located in two different villages but they both knew the Name that is above all names. Our team worked among the Warao tribe in a remote area of Venezuela planting the Gospel by using copies of the Jesus Film translated into their language.

There are times in our lives when God instantly affirms what we are doing and then there are times when we simply must be patient and wait for what seems like forever to receive a confirmation from God. I recently returned from the Oronoco Delta in Venezuela where our team worked with the Warao Indian tribe.

If I have said it once, then I have said it twice! Technology, in all its various forms, is a wonderful way to share God’s word, especially when it is undergirded with prayer. I recently had so much fun that I just can’t wait to tell you all about it! If you are even remotely familiar with Rivers of the World (ROW) then you know we serve in four of the seven continents of the world. This includes the countries of Vietnam and Cambodia in Asia, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa, Brazil and Venezuela in South America and the Dominican Republic and Honduras in North America.

After being home for three weeks, it is now time to ask everyone to begin praying. By the time you read this, I will be in the Democratic Republic (DR) of the Congo. That means much excitement, challenges and the vast need for intercessory prayers.

Many faithful followers of Rivers of the World (ROW) have diligently kept up with the various projects we have done over the years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the Dominican Republic and in Honduras. Did you know, though, what our mission at ROW is and what is the driving force behind our projects?

Okay, I admit it, hosting a social function is not one of my strengths, nor is it something I enjoy doing. Sometimes you just got to do what you’ve got to do and that is why I am requesting your prayers.
