Living Sacrifice

Published by kclack under Danger, Worship

Some photographs just deserve to be held in honor for all time. One such photograph was taken in the middle of a battle in Afghanistan. I cannot describe the impact that one of the images has had upon me.

Go God!

Published by kclack under Worship

Social sites on the Internet have gotten my attention. My young staff insisted I create a “spacebook” and “myface” page, or whatever they are called! Do you know what seems to be the most popular discussion on these sites this time of year? People spend hours on these sites and they post all sorts of things to let people know they’re rooting for their particular football team!

My Heart Rejoices

Published by kclack under Blessings, Worship

It took a man in a parking lot recently to remind me that I need to be thankful even for the little things. I confess that there are times when I am so wrapped up in international issues, problems within our own government and the strange things that take place by our own administration that I overlook the little things in life.

Magnify His Name

Published by kclack under Blessings, Worship

If there is one thing that I know, it is that our Lord has a sense of humor and loves it when we are thankful. It has been raining here in Dixie for quite awhile so most days you don’t really need a pair of sunglasses. I was driving across Georgia during a thunderstorm when all of a sudden the clouds began to part and the sun began to shine. That was fine but I couldn’t find my sunglasses!

Rejoice!

Published by kclack under Worship

My calendar is cluttered with things to do, appointments, notes, etc. In many ways, my life is just like my calendar, quite the mess! Let me share with you a recent experience I had that brought into focus a very tangible Biblical lesson.

One Day Closer

Published by kclack under Blessings, Worship

Do you know what day it is? Oh, I don’t mean Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or such. I mean do you understand what day this is, today. On this day you are one day closer to landing that job you have prayed for, you are one day closer to achieving your goal of losing weight, you are one day closer to beating that addiction and you are one day closer to spending eternity with Christ and finally being at peace.

In Spirit and in Truth

Published by kclack under Countries, Worship

It felt so good to be home when I arrived in America several weeks ago from traveling overseas. Most of you know by now that I am in at least one different country every month. There just isn’t anything in the world that lifts my heart more than returning to America especially at sunrise. I can watch the sun as it begins a new day over my town. It is during moments like these that I have an opportunity to worship Christ and praise Him for America.

Enter His Courts With Praise

Published by kclack under Church, Congo, Worship

One of my most favorite words is twasakadila. It is a Tshiluba word that means thank you. It comes from a term that expresses buying a bag of beans in the marketplace and asking somebody to put a little more on top.

Prepare Our Hearts

Published by kclack under Blessings, Worship

Guess what I just discovered? I found three more words that can dramatically change your life and I want you to incorporate these words in everything you do during this Holy Week. Christians around the globe are celebrating Holy Week, which is the week before Easter that includes Palm Sunday, Good Friday and the last day of Lent, the day before Easter.

Make a Joyful Noise

Published by kclack under Church, Nicaragua, Worship

It was Sunday morning in Bluefields, Nicaragua, when I took a walk that changed my life. I was crossing a bridge over a small stream that runs through the beautiful town of Bluefields when I heard the congregation of a church about 200 yards away that had gathered to worship. The worship service included drums, guitars, organs, tambourines, a piano and voices that just lifted the Word to heaven. My senses just came alive and it was so exciting!
