Cheer Up!
It is a great day to be thankful here at Rivers of the World (ROW). Do you know that there are times that we get 150 e-mails a day from our radio listeners? This just makes my day and I simply glow inside! I have actually coined a new phrase, “You make my heart smile.”
It is difficult to describe how much it means to all of us in radio when our listeners bless us with their kind comments and praises. It is so wonderful to hear from friends all across the country whom we’ve never met who are praying for us and who are enjoying our stories. Did you know that we stop as soon as we get those e-mails and we pray for each listener as well?
Why don’t you try and do something different today. I challenge you to find someone who makes your heart smile and let them know how much you appreciate them. I also want to encourage you to keep sending those uplifting and positive e-mails to ROW.
As we read Proverbs 12:25 we begin to understand just how powerful and effective words are in encouraging others. The verse states:
“An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.”
We all know that when we are burdened with so many cares of this life it can feel as if we actually have a weight resting upon our shoulders or even as if our hearts are heavy. Words spoken in kindness can lift our spirits and give us just what we need to carry on.
