Devil’s Schemes

Published by kclack at 1:08 pm under Witness

I am just convinced that the devil puts things in our path to try his best to discourage us. I have been trying to make my computer work for longer than I care to remember! I get so frustrated when I deal with computer problems because I have people located throughout the world who wait to hear from us and they just need to know that the Lord and Rivers of the World (ROW) are on their side.

I know many of you have dealt with computer problems so you understand just how frustrating it is, to the point you feel like throwing up your hands and just giving up. I was so upset that I just had to tell myself to walk away from my computer and work on something else. It was then that I had the thought that perhaps somebody was trying to prevent me from sending some hope and love in the name of Jesus to folks in need around the world.

If that is the case then believe me I will not give up that easily! I’ll keep plugging away at my computer until it works and until I can send some encouragement to the ends of the earth.

Christ warns us that we will face opposition in this world because there are powerful evil forces that reign upon the earth seeking to destroy all those who follow Him. Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:10-12:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

It is not a matter of if we will have to fight off the devil’s schemes, but rather, what weapons we will choose to use to defeat him. Christ has made every provision for us to battle the evil of this world and to be victorious. All we have to do is put on the full armor, not a few pieces of armor, but all of the armor of God.
