Draw From His Strength

[ 0 ] July 1, 2006 |

Picture this: a group of young people gathered together in a remote jungle area in Africa painting a hospital. Paint is flying from the paintbrushes onto the surface of the hospital when a government bureaucrat appears wanting to see what these young people are doing.

He walked up to one of the young men and asked, “Well, aren’t you tired?” Looking directly at the government official, the young man replied, “My God gives me endless strength,” then immediately returned to painting.

The government official was so impressed with the response from that young man he went home, got his own children and put them to work alongside my group of young adults. They painted the hospital and took time to witness to the patients.

Today, I want you to remember that our God indeed gives us endless strength. Simply remember what His word says in Isaiah 40:30-32:

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

No matter the task or the challenge today, you can claim that strength in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
