Happy New Year!
Five, four, three, two, one, Happy New Year! Can’t you just hear fireworks exploding and people screaming! Honestly, I don’t really get all that worked up about a new year. Actually, I probably won’t even be awake when midnight rolls around!
However, I do plan to take some time to look back over the previous year and remember the good things that happened, praise the Lord for His many blessings and give thanks for God’s abundant grace. I am looking forward to a new year with wonderful anticipation because I just don’t know all the great things that God has in store for Rivers of the World (ROW) over the next 12 months. I do know, however, with God in control, it’s bound to be good!
Let’s join together and claim prosperity for 2010. If you have already accepted Christ as your Savior then you are rich indeed! In John 10:10 (Amplified) we read one of the reasons why Christ gave His life for us:
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
At that very moment when we surrender our lives and accept the Lord as our Savior, we experience a new life like never before. Christ wants us to enjoy the new life He gave us and to do so abundantly. Certainly, we will experience financial blessings during our walk with the Lord but let’s strive to acquire spiritual prosperity in 2010. I challenge you to do all that you can this upcoming year to move closer to God and endeavor to gain a heart of understanding, knowledge and wisdom.
I encourage you also to diligently pray that our country gets back to being the America it was founded upon. Let’s take a stand for Jesus in 2010 and reclaim the United States for God and His purposes.
