In One Accord

Published by kclack at 11:28 pm under Countries, Giving, Serving

It’s Christmas and I know all of you are expecting me to say it so I might as well. Okay, just in case you’re curious, I am a double extra large, I love things that are soft and I enjoy long walks on the beach. And, it’s Christmas! I’m just teasing, but I won’t tease you about my goal this Christmas season, which is to raise the support for my entire staff around the world before the New Year begins. With this goal accomplished I will be able to check this “to do” item off my list and move on to other things.

We would love for you to partner with Rivers of the World (ROW) to help this Christmas by supporting the wonderful staff of this not-for-profit Christian organization. Your contributions would benefit staff such as Heyde in Brazil; Omba, Shamba and Pappa Akula Mukanga, all located in the DR of the Congo; Willie in Nicaragua; Pastor Pedro in the Dominican Republic; Pastor Israel in Honduras; and the rest of the ROW staff located in the United States and other locations overseas. Check us out at www.row.org to learn more about the countries we serve in the name of Christ and the people who are sacrificially helping ROW.

May God bless you with a very Merry Christmas as you prayerfully consider supporting ROW with your prayers and financial contributions. If churches today modeled their giving according to Acts 4:32, 34-35 there would be no Christian in need.

“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.”

We must understand that all we have belongs to God. He expects us to use the resources He provides to bless fellow Christians, whether it is with our time, talents or money. This Christmas let us strive to live in one accord with each other, looking for ways to bless and minister our Christian brothers and sisters.
