Okay, hold onto your seats because I have a new idea that you are just going to love! Many of you know about the mission of Rivers of the World (ROW), which is to target river basins and serve with the people who live in these areas. We are asking everyone who listens to us on the radio or checks us out online to send in ideas for new rivers for ROW to visit.

The plan is to pick a team from the folks who submit ideas and send the team to the new river to minister to the people in that part of the world. Hear me clearly though, everyone who is part of this team would be required to pay their own way. This team of strangers would be bound together by nothing but a common love for Jesus and a desire to travel to a new river for ROW to determine the needs of that area. These challenges would then be presented to our listeners and supporters from all over the United States. We would all unite to address these needs and figure out the best ways to meet them in the name of Jesus.

If this sounds intriguing to you, then take out your maps or search the Internet, pick out a river and let us know about your idea. Keep in mind that I like jungles and warm climates and not mountains and cold. However, I promise that I will listen to any ideas presented to us! There really is no telling where the Lord will lead us on this journey and that, to me, is so exciting!

As Christians, we are supposed to strive daily to become more like Christ, who is considered the “head” of the Church. We read in Ephesians 4:16:

“From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Whether we are surrounded by friends and family in our local church or serving overseas with a team of strangers, we are all joined together in Christ and we all have a vital part to play as His servants.
