Love Conquers All
I am amazed. He did it. I mean he really did it and it has changed his whole life. My best friend, Chris, traveled to Central America on a mission trip and he fell in love. After a process of several years, Chris and Marisol finally got married. I know this to be a fact because I performed the wedding!
Their relationship has been incredible and now Marisol is living in the United States with her husband and life is wonderful. They came to my house for dinner recently, which could have ruined the whole deal because I was the one who did the cooking!
Beware, because you just never know what might happen when you go on a mission trip! The world has all of a sudden become much smaller for Chris and Marisol. They are a living testimony that love conquers all, even the boundaries of countries.
King Solomon eloquently described the power of love in Song of Songs 8:7 (Amplified):
“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would offer all the goods of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned and despised.”
A God-given love experienced between a husband and wife can withstand the most tumultuous storms of life and can persist even if separated for a season, no matter the amount of time or distance. Love can even live on long after one spouse has passed from this life into eternity.
