No Age Limit
I can’t believe I’m sharing this with you but for the first time in my life I got a senior citizen’s discount today at the grocery store. Let me share with you what I know. Old does not mean used up by any means. Old just means I have a lot of experience. If God can use me at my age, and I am, ah, well…55 years old, then God can use any of us.
I feel just as good today as I did yesterday. Even though I was embarrassed to receive a senior citizen’s discount, I believe you are only as old as you think you are. I want to encourage you today to stop making excuses if you are allowing your age to prevent you from serving the Lord. In Matthew 9:37-38 we read about a conversation Jesus had with His disciples. The verses state:
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”
Jesus doesn’t say young or old workers, just workers. The requirement for being used by Christ is simply being available and being obedient to His leading. Pray today and ask the Lord to reveal to you how you can serve Him. Rivers of the World (ROW) always has opportunities to serve so check us out at www.row.org.
