One Way
Daily deadlines sometimes replace daily devotions. Daily routines sometimes replace daily prayer. We can be so wrapped up in our hectic lives that we forget one of our primary purposes as a Christian is to lead others to Jesus Christ. It is not brain surgery—it is salvation.
I just got off the Amazon River where we conducted revival services in three villages. It was awesome and magnificent. We witnessed 24 children come to Christ. One man told us on that particular day, he had led 4-1/2 people to Jesus. We said, “What is that? Four adults and a kid?” The man replied, “No, it is four kids and an adult. The adult has already led half his life.”
No matter if we are young, old, or like me—somewhere in the middle—our job is to lead people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Today, whether it is one-third, one-fourth, one-fifth, one-half or a whole, I encourage you to get out there in the world and share the Gospel with somebody in the spirit of love and joy.
Jesus instructed His disciples how they could one day join Him with His Father in heaven. As we witness for Christ today, be sure to share John 14:6, which shows Jesus answering Thomas:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus has showed us the path to eternal life with Him. He is the truth, the very reality of the living God that dwells within us. The life-saving blood of Jesus flows through every Christian, it springs up and wells up within us propelling us to share it with all those we encounter each day.
