Proclaim His Wondrous Works

[ 0 ] November 2, 2006 |

I just love to be reminded that we can serve as missionaries right here in America. I just had an opportunity to be a missionary at a church in the great state of Texas. In Georgia where I live, people are kind, humble and quiet. In Texas, I discovered everything is big, bold and people get excited.

A group of churches invited me to travel to Texas to talk about our Rivers of the World (ROW) radio ministry. I had the best time and we all just had a ball! Although I wasn’t back in Georgia and in my church, being with these Christians felt like I was right at home.

I want to thank Amy Arthur, our regional director in that part of the world, the folks at the Methodist church in Killeen, Texas, and all the good folks who joined together in celebrating the exciting ministry of ROW.

Through ROW, I have opportunities to travel to many countries and throughout the United States visiting a variety of church congregations. I would enjoy visiting many other churches in cities and small towns nationwide. If you are interested in having me visit your church to talk about the ministry of ROW, I encourage you to contact us.

It should not matter if we are worshipping in our home church or visiting another church if we are praising and worshipping our Lord in one accord. Today, I want to encourage you to offer up this sacrifice of praise that David presented to God in Psalm 145:3-7:

“Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.”

Glory to God! Let us praise His most excellent, glorious and awesome name!
