Seek the Lord Your God

[ 0 ] July 9, 2006 |

Despite the fast paced society in which we live with all its modern conveniences, we still wait for many things. We wait in traffic, for our meals to be served, for our vehicles to be serviced and sometimes we even wait for Sunday sermons to be over.

I heard of a man in Morocco who waited 17 years to learn how to accept Christ as his Savior. He had heard about Jesus on Christian shortwave radio. However, no one ever explained to this man the steps required to give his life to Christ. It took 17 years for a missionary to arrive in his area, sit down with him in his home, and share the Gospel face to face. This man was then led to the Lord and he gave his heart and life to Christ.

I ask you today, are you waiting for just the right time, for a better understanding of the Bible, for when you grow older or for someone to come along and explain to you how you receive salvation?

We are not guaranteed a tomorrow so I urge you to settle those issues today, to lay everything before the feet of Christ and surrender your heart and life to Him.

His word tells us plainly in Deuteronomy 4:29:

“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

He is waiting for you today to finally make that decision to accept His gracious gift of salvation. He is knocking at your heart’s door. Will you answer?
