Singing For the Children

Published by kclack at 5:55 pm under Belize, Worship

It just thrills my soul when people from around the world come together to help other folks in the world for the sake of Jesus Christ. Check your calendar…do you have anything planned March 28 or 29? If not, head to Belize where you can take part in a benefit concert to help the children of Belize attain better education opportunities.

Rhythm of Chance, located in Belize, and ROW Kids will hold joint concerts, one in Belize City on March 29, 2008 and the other in San Ignacio on March 28, 2008. The ROC & ROW Kids for Education benefit concert is being held to raise funds to assist with the educational needs of underprivileged children in Belize. Featured during the concerts will be Christian rock artists Everlife, from Nashville and Chasen from South Carolina.

These concerts are a great way for the young people of Belize to hear about Christ through music. It is also a wonderful opportunity for Rivers of the World (ROW) to assist the children of the Billy White area, where we have a school. We want to do more than house, feed and educate these children. We want to help them either finish a trade school or obtain a university education, which will equip them with the skills they need to be productive citizens in their country.

Delivering the message of Christ to the world can be done through preaching His Word, praying with others, serving those in need and even by worshipping Him in music. We discover in Psalm 92:1-3 that music is an integral part of expressing our gratitude to God for all His many blessings:

“It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.”

Whether it is with a flute, electric guitar, drums, piano or simply our voices, let us never forget to worship the Lord. Sing, play music or even dance this day to show Jesus how much you Love Him because of His goodness, His love and His mercy.
