Steadily Growing
On your mark, get set, go! School is back in session, evening’s are becoming cooler and leaves on trees are turning an array of colors. All of this means it is September!
I love this time of the year when everything seems so fresh, alive and exciting. It is that time of the year to organize closets, clean the garage, rake leaves and complete countless projects that were postponed due to summer. Think of this season as an opportunity to reenergize your life, to start brand new. I want you to change your first thoughts when you awake in the morning. Instead of focusing upon your aches and pains or the perceived troubles of the day, offer up a prayer before the Lord. Say to God, “It’s a brand new day, use me, mold me, help me to grow so that today, you can make a difference in the world through me.”
My prayer for you today is Colossians 1:10 (Amplified):
“That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and [desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, [acquaintance, and recognition].”
We don’t always need to have directions for where we’re going in life just as long as we are staying on the right path with God. Keep maturing in the things of the Lord, steadily growing day by day and He will use you in some amazing ways to bless others and further His kingdom.
