To the Ends of the Earth
Do you have a few moments for us to do a quick survey? Rivers of the World (ROW) has just purchased satellite equipment that will enable us to do a live broadcast from very remote jungles around the world. We could broadcast live over the Internet through a video conferencing site.
There is no cost for people who view the siteā¦all you would have to do is register, sign on and watch a live broadcast of ROW. What I would like to know, before ROW further invests in this project, is whether or not anybody would be interested in watching live broadcasts of ROW.
Everyone is familiar with the various reality TV shows that are currently aired. With this technology, you can watch as we travel the Congo River or visit the orphanage in Kinshasa in the Congo. You will have the opportunity to watch ROW teams as they serve along the Napo, Oroso, Yanayaku and the Apayaku rivers in Peru. In other segments, you can watch ROW live as we travel to Vietnam, Honduras, Belize and other countries we serve. Are you interested in watching a broadcast live over the Internet of all the ways ROW serves others around the world? If so, contact me at ben@row.org.
May I remind you as Christians it is the responsibility of each of us to deliver the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. For some of us, that might mean simply witnessing in our neighborhood, town or state. However, for others, like us at ROW, it means literally traveling to remote areas and being the hands, feet, voice and heart of Jesus.
Jesus tells us in Acts 13:47 (Amplified):
“For so the Lord has charged us, saying, I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles (the heathen), that you may bring [eternal] salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.”
