To Win Many
No matter how often I hear people say, “do you know I think the Lord is calling me to ministry,” I never grow tired of it. I just finished being a keynote speaker at a mission’s conference here in Georgia. After the conference, my new friend, Mark, came up to me and said, “We’ve got to go eat lunch and we’ve got to do it right now.”
Well you know me, I am not going to get in the way of a good meal or the Lord! We got in Mark’s car and headed to Rudolph’s Restaurant for lunch. He looked across the table at me and said, “God has called me to ministry.” Mark is a businessman! I replied, “Tell me what the Lord has told you.”
My friend, Mark, said he is committed to starting an organization that will put roofs up first as we build new churches. Well do I have news for him! Rivers of the World (ROW) needs to build around 80 churches in Brazil and at least that many in Honduras. These projects start now and it is all because one man said, “I believe the Lord has called me to serve.”
How about you? Has the Lord called you to serve in some capacity? There are those folks who are called by God to be pastors, teachers and evangelists, but all of us who are Christians are called into ministry. We need a humble spirit and a servant’s heart like the Apostle Paul who said in 1 Corinthians 9:19:
“Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”
What can you do today to win lost souls for Jesus Christ?
