These are the latest pictures of the orphanage ROW is building in the Dominican Republic!
But we need your help!
Please pray it remains safe from the storms and that it gets finished on time – we need $30,000 to finish the outside and close to $100,000 to equip it!
Consider making a donation today to help us finish this project!
Be sure to note on the donation that you want the money to go to the DR Orphanage.

Having visited the orphanage in Barahona, DR in November 2011, sanding stucco and painting (primer) on the first 2 floors, we 10 missioners from Faith Presbyterian see the real need for a roof ASAP. We are planning to travel again November 2-10, 2012 supporting Pastor Pedro and his wife, Lydia, in their work . The women of the church fed us amazingly well, we were driven to the bateys, and we had opportunity to show God's love to the children both at the local church and at Los Gatos where Pastor Ramon and Sandra serve Haitians who have come to work in the sugar cane. The needs of the children are much in evidence and we pray that the orphanage is completed SOON! Charlotte will lead another group from Huntsville, Alabama November 2-10, 2012 with room for 8 more. Email uptonmiller@knology.net for more information.
Happy to report that the orphanage (Helping Hands Centre) in Barahona, DR is FINISHED and 9 boys are living there as of February 2013 with a Director, Verona Smith, who seems to be doing a great job with them.
[I was part of a 24-person Covenant team who did decorative painting, repairs to the school, installed ceiling fans, taught crafts, made jewelry telling the Bible story, VBS, nurses to Clinic at Batey 7, played with children at Los Robles, and delivered 100s pounds of clothes, underwear, school supplies, soccer balls to be distributed by Pastor Pedro Kery Johnson and staff.] Keep them in your prayers; They're doing God's work!
I correct myself that Pastor Ramon and Sandra are at Los Robles, not Los Gatos. I also add that the orphanage in Barahona, DR (Helping Hands Centre) continues to need things like washing machines and food for these boys who formerly 'lived on the street'. Pastor Pedro also mentioned another pastor in another batey needed housing. I am interested in another trip in winter/spring 2014 with a group also interested in the good work being done by PP and his team. See first message for my email address. I feel blessed to be able to be a part of this ministry.
