Having visited the orphanage in Barahona, DR in November 2011, sanding stucco and painting (primer) on the first 2 floors, we 10 missioners from Faith Presbyterian see the real need for a roof ASAP. We are planning to travel again November 2-10, 2012 supporting Pastor Pedro and his wife, Lydia, in their work . The women of the church fed us amazingly well, we were driven to the bateys, and we had opportunity to show God's love to the children both at the local church and at Los Gatos where Pastor Ramon and Sandra serve Haitians who have come to work in the sugar cane. The needs of the children are much in evidence and we pray that the orphanage is completed SOON! Charlotte will lead another group from Huntsville, Alabama November 2-10, 2012 with room for 8 more.
